Abstract

Curcuma longa, commonly known as turmeric, has demonstrated substantial potential in the fields of dermatology and gastroenterology due to its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties. This review explores both therapeutic and homoeopathic benefits of Curcuma longa, focusing on its applications in skin and gut health. Emphasizing its dual action, this paper assesses curcumin’s molecular mechanisms in skin conditions such as acne, eczema, and wound healing, along with its effects on gastrointestinal disorders like inflammatory bowel disease and dyspepsia. Additionally, the role of Curcuma longa in homoeopathy is reviewed, showcasing its ability to provide symptom relief and enhance holistic healing. Integrating evidence from dermatology and gastroenterology, this review provides insights into Curcuma longa’s potential for combined therapeutic and homoeopathic applications, promoting comprehensive health benefits.
